Hoang Hung and Ly Hoang Ly

Père, fille et …. Poésie

Hoang Hung, born in 1942, is a poet, translator and journalist. Most of his poems, too subversive, could not be published until very late thanks to the policy of “renovation” (Doi Moi) in 1988.

Ly Hoang Ly, born in 1975, represents the young generation of Vietnamese writers. Both poet and contemporary visual artist, she has published collections of poems. She deploys all her energy to renew Vietnamese poetry, to give new life to this art. According to the poet and literary critic Nguyen Thuy Kha, reading the poems of Ly Hoang Ly, we are challenged by the impressions of Rap and Installation…

“Father, daughter… and Poetry” is the title of the article published by the literary critic Nguyen Thi Minh Hoang on Thai Hung and his daughter Ly Hoang Ly when both received an award for poetry in 2006. To celebrate the 10th Spring of Poets (Printemps des poètes), love of Vietnamese poetry and renewal that the authors bring to poetry, from generation to generation, L’Espace is pleased to invite you to an exceptional evening in the company of these poets .

Meeting preceded by a bilingual poetry reading by two artists, accompanied by musicians Lam Duc Chinh, Chi Cuong Do, Phan Cuong and painter The Ha Hien.

Collection of 36 poems by Hoang Hung, published by the Centre of Eastern and Western cultures and Editions of the Union of Writers, 2008
— – Cadeau by Ly Hoang Ly, Editions Tre, 2008
