For the photo agency OSTKREUZ, the end of a divided Germany was the beginning of a success story. Founded in Berlin in 1990, it is today one of the most important names in photo journalism in Germany.

From the press release:

For the group exhibition “Deutschlandbilder”, the agency’s photographers went in search of today’s Germany. The resulting photos are a colorful panorama of the state of the German nation, a vibrant refelection of everyday life. Selected works from this exhibition are now on a world tour presented by the Goethe Institut. Images of Sunday rituals, active seniors citizens, the typically German concept of ‘Heimat’ (home or homeland), holidays on the North Sea – snapshots that tell stories that are funny, sad, multifaceted, human.
