Varsha Nair and Jerome Ming

“A Proper Place”

An installation by Varsha Nair (British, based in Bangkok) and Jerome Ming (French, a new Hanoi resident), both of whom have exhibited internationally.
From the invitation:

In “A Proper Place” we have considered the immediate site of the Ryllega Gallery. It’s proximity to the opera house and the intentional / unintentional backdrops the environs of the city present to us. Our collaboration explores the relationships of symbolism and correctness, and interplays with the concepts of three and two dimensional representations of some of the visible objects that have an integral part in this transforming city.

Ryllega Galery is an experimental contemporary gallery, the best place in Hanoi to see contemporary work by both Vietnamese and foreign artists.
