SHOW TIME! HITS - The Wizard of Oz!

We’ve been working hard to prepare another exciting show for you–The Wizard of Oz!
And while it isn’t the “tv version”, it will be a ton of fun… probably even MORE fun! It’s a show created with kids in mind, but it certainly has a LOT of good stuff to keep the adults entertained.

HITS is looking for people who want to be involved in an exciting new season.

From the press release:

Dear Lovers of Theatre,

The Hanoi International Theatre Society (HITS) is proud to announce the opening of the 2008 season!

This spring season hopes to be daring, innovative, and anything but conventional.

Based on interest from the community and members to open HITS participation to a wider audience, this spring season HITS will be supporting a series of events, including a movement workshop on “Stepping” (an aggressive group dance form), children’s theatre, and potentially one or two one-act plays (based on interest from the
community).

But we need your support.

Two great one-act plays in one evening!

	The Zoo Story from the HITS blog: A play exploring themes of isolation, loneliness, social disparity and dehumanization in a commercial world.
	The Apple from the HITS blog: A fast-moving satire about perceptions people create and project upon art. While working in an art museum, a janitor leaves an apple behind on an empty pedestal. Art critics and patrons including a spaced-out hippie and Elvis re-incarnated come along and think it was meant to be a piece of art. Discussions ensue and escalate.
