Dr. Frederick Harris, better known as Mr. Fred founded the Dong Son Today Foundation in 2005 to support the arts in Hanoi. He is back in town and will have a public talk with young artists at the Foundations new offices.
Dr. Frederick Harris first came to Vietnam as visiting professor at Hanoi Fine Arts University in 2001 soon he became fascinated by the art scene in Hanoi. He’s been active helping and supporting young artists over the last few years. In 2005 a non-profit art organization called Dong Son Today Foundation was established with great effort from Dr Frederick ( or Mr Fred as students and people prefer to call him this friendly way). Since then DSTF has played an small but important part in stimulating the art creation’s energy and supporting young artists in Hanoi.
